When you think of Christmas, you probably think of becoming poison with your families, and face calls on your Handy with excited family members. Sound familiar? Well, isn't it the same procedure as every year?
If any of the above sounds a little wrong, you've probably got a good ear for what we call - false friends. These are those words that sound so familiar when translated from German directly into English that you kind of assume they're right: Bekommen is "to get" in English not "to become"; "Handy" is not a mobile phone it actually means useful, convenient, we say "mobile" (GB) or "cell" (US).
For a bit of a laugh in 2024, we decided to put together a series of videos exposing our favourite (GB), favorite (US) festive false friends. Hope you enjoy the results.
