English for HR
Our English for Human Resources course will provide
your team with the English language skills to perform in a variety of HR
situations. We typically focus on areas such as job interviews, giving
performance reviews, and discussing compensation and benefits. Typically,
course participants work as part of an international company and need to
speak English with employees, colleagues and partners on a regular basis. But
our workshops are bespoke, which means if you’re in the area of HR
Organisational Planning, Change Management, Strategy, Employee Branding , CSR –
we can tailor what we offer as our trainers have experience/materials covering
most disciplines.
Typical
e/Workshop content include elements of the following:
- Recruitment, including interviewing techniques and writing job advertisements
- Employment law vocabulary (dismissal, probationary period, training, motivation and rewards)
- ROLE PLAY: Hiring talent
- Appraisal (performance review) techniques
- Talking about rewards and benefits
- You will also look at key
language skills such as:
- The language of negotiations/cause and effect “If, then”
- Written communication – emails/formal letters
- Dealing with difficult conversations
- CLOSING EXERCISE: Write a formal email (email chain among participants) concerning pending performance reviews
